HOW THE VIRUS WORK
Once you open the email above, it will infect your Boot Sector Memory and lay low in there while infecting any EXE and INI files you open scan. It will first download itself to your window 95 system register so that each time you load your PC, this virus will be upload again to your Memory Boot Sector. It will infect your files by coding itself into your files which will make your files an extra 124bytes larger than it suppose to be. It also using 'STEALTH' technic to hide from any resent virus utilities.On every FRIDAY, the virus will decode into smaller fractions and encode again to a new virus coding. Therefore it's hard to know what coding was this virus actually use, hence creating an anti-virus for this one is a bit IMPOSSIBLE.

DESTRUCTIVE LOAD
On every 4th Sept starting this year, exactly at 12am, each virus in every effected files in your PC will decode into smaller fraction and it will combine all together and encode again into 1 single virus and program itself into a file name 'Matrix.mtx'. Each individual virus is 124bytes in size, therefore it will only infected a max of 20 files making the original virus 'Matrix.mtx' is a 2480bytes in size. This file is actually the original virus which in unknown to anyone until 4th Sept 1999.
Therefore, not until 4th Sept 1999, there is no cure for this virus.Once Matric.mtx created, the virus will start by disfunctioning your mouse and keyboard driver. It will delete your system files and it will delete all partitions you have created. Making your PC unbootable and in another word your harddisk will no longer exist. The only CURE you have later is by formating your harddisk. It can never infect thru CD-ROM and FLOPPY DISK. What is the MATRIX? , is a big question which we will only know on the 4th Sept 1999.

Macintosh que lo han transformado para los PC.
Primero borra el disco duro, y luego a traves de la placa base logra provocar una interrupción que genera un cortocircuito y consigue quemar los chips de memoria. OJO ES MUY PELIGROSO.
Por favor envía esta información a toda la gente que conozcas, si puedes traducelo a otros idiomas.

CELLSAVER

If you receive any CELCOM Screen Saver. Pls. do not install it!!!!!! This screensaver is very cool. It shows a NOKIA handphone, with time messages.

After it is activated, the PC cannot boot up at all. It goes very slow. It destroys your hard disk. The filename is CELLSAVER.EXE

Up-Grade Internet2

Si reciben un mail titulado "Up-Grade Internet2" NO LO ABRAN.Ya que
contieneun Ejecutable con un Ýcono muy gracioso, el ejecutable se llama
PERRIN.EXE.Este virus borrarß toda la informacion de su disco duro, y de alguna manera se refugia en la memoria de su computadora, por lo que cada vez que le carguen información a su disco duro, este lo borrarß de nuevo dejando prßcticamente inservible su computadora. Reenvien este mensaje a toda la gente que puedan. Esta informacion fue publicada ayer por la Pßgina Web de la CNN.Una vez mas, pasen esto a todos en tu libreta de direcciones para que pueda ser detenido. Se ha dicho que es un virus muy peligroso y no hay remedio para el hasta la fecha.

Bugglst.zip (Variacion del Buddylst)

Someone is sending out a very desirable screen-saver, a Bug's Life "BUGGLST.ZIP". If you download it, you will lose everything!!! Your hard drive will crash and someone from the internet will get your screen name and password! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

IT JUST WENT INTO circulation yesterday, as far as we know.
Pleasedistribute/inform this message. This is a new, very malicious virus and not many people know about it. This information was announced yesterday morning from Microsoft. Please share it with everyone that might access the Internet.

Also do not open or even look at any mail that says "RETURNED OR UNABLE TO DELIVER". This virus will attach itself to your computer components and render them useless. Immediately delete mail items that say this. AOL has said that this is a very dangerous virus and that there is NO remedy for it at this time.

There is a virus out now being sent to people via email...it is called the A.I.D.S. VIRUS. It will destroy your memory, sound card and speakers, drive, and it will infect your mouse or pointing device..as well as your keyboards making what you type not able to register on the screen. It self terminates only after it eats 5MB of hard drive space & will delete all programs.

It will come via E-mail called "OPEN: VERY COOL! :) ".
DELETE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! immediately!! It will basically render your computer useless.
PASS IT ON QUICKLY & TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE!! THANKS!!

Hacky Birthday!

" G.I.S.V.I. - UBA Net y SIA TECHNOLOGIST ISP ATENCION A TODOS LOS USUARIOS ARGENTINOS DE INTERNET Ref: VIRUS "HACKY BIRTHDAY!"

Este mensaje esta siendo distribuido por el Grupo de Investigacion Sobre Virus de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y SIA TECHNOLOGIST ISP Se ha detectado un troyano (troyanoÿrus que se ejecuta automaticamente bajo ciertas condiciones)en los servidores de e-mail de los 3 principales proveedores de accesos a Internet de nuestro pais.
Todo el correo electronico que haya sido enviado a traves de estos servidores a contagiado con dicho troyano a las maquinas que los recibieron.

Este virus, por suerte, todavia no se ha activado ya que ha sido programado para ejecutarse el proximo 31 de julio, al parecer fecha de nacimiento del autor del virus, un hacker argentino muy conocido por sus ingresos ilegales a servidores de Internet, bancos e instituciones gubernamentales cuyo apodo figura en el csdigo de programacisn del virus junto a la frase "Hacky Birthday!" Dadas las complejas tecnicas heuristicas utilizadas en su programacion no es posible detectarlo con los antivirus mas conocidos.

Fueron probados, sin resultado el ThunderByte, Scan, Norton Antivirus, MSAV, F-Prot y el Panda Antivirus. En caso de ejecutarse el virus en la fecha indicada se transmitira a Una direccion de Internet no identificada (suponemos que la del autor del virus) el login, password, direcciones DNS y telefono de acceso a Internet que residan en la maquina infectada destruyendo posteriormente la FAT (File Alocation Table) Primaria y Secundaria del disco rigido dejandolo inutilizable y sin posibilidades de recuperacion.

Por lo tanto, debido a la cercania de la fecha en la que se ejecutara el virus, y hasta que el Grupo de Investigacion de Virus dependiente de la UBA (GISVI) encuentre una forma de erradicarlo, NUESTRA RECOMENDACION ES MANTENER APAGADAS TODAS LAS COMPUTADORAS QUE HAYAN CURSADO E-MAILS POR INTERNET DURANTE LAS 24 HORAS DEL 31 DE JULIO PROXIMO PARA EViTAR LA EJECUCION DE ESTE TROYANO.
Lamentablemente este virus tiene un contador de tiempo propio
que se activa al infectar la maquina, de manera que NO SIRVE CAMBIAR
LA FECHA EN LA COMPUTADORA PARA EVITAR SU ACTIVACION,
como se procede habitualmente en estos casos.

Mientras tanto, rogamos a los que reciben este e-mail trasmitirlo a todos aquellos que conozcan que utilicen frecuentemente el correo electronico de Internet, de manera de poder alertar a la mayor cantidad de usuarios y que, en caso de no encontrar un antivirus que lo neutralice, el troyano afecte la menor cantidad de maquinas posible.
